Crumbs
Psalms 119:9
“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.”
Recently I heard the statement, “Don’t leave any crumbs behind you in life.”
“Crumbs?” you might ask. Yes. Crumbs are the things that keep following you, no matter where you go or what you do, the thing you wish you had not done, or the thing you wish you had taken care of that keeps haunting you.
Don’t live life where you find yourself in avoidance, ducking when you walk in the door and see the person you cheated, owed, and/or left something unsettled with. Live your life free of the crumbs of unfaithfulness and carelessness, which lead to a road of ducking, diving, and hiding.
Living one step ahead of crumbs is no way to raise children. Take care of your marriage.
Unswept crumbs only lead to rodents, insects, pests, and other creeping creatures hanging around the fringes of your life. This allows them to dwell on your misfortune and the path of destruction that is following you, never leading to anything healthy.
Successful living happens when one is willing to acknowledge and cleanse oneself from the crumbs. Psalm 119:9 reminds us that a man can cleanse his way with the Word. Fruitful, positive, prosperous effectiveness starts when you are willing to take the Word of God and cleanse your life.
So, take a look at yourself. Are you the one living on the run, avoiding friends, uncomfortable at social events, church events, and even family events? If so, look around and see what you are leaving behind you in your life. It does not have to stay that way.
Our prayer for you today: May you live a crumb-free life by cleansing yourself with the Word of God.
