Impossible Things Are Possible With God
And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. (Luke 18:27)
“Thing(s)”: the word we use to describe the mysterious, difficult, unapproachable, or unattainable. How do we do, what do we do with, or how do we overcome or approach this “thing”. This is the vernacular we use when we are disgusted, depressed, hanging on by a thread, and even whipped.
Everyone reading this, and everyone you come in contact with today, has one thing in common. See, I just said it, “thing(s)”. Indescribable things, situational things, problem things, sad things, happy things, marital things, corruptible things, and impossible things.
Discussions will happen today about things blocking us, holding us up, delaying us, hindering us, and keeping us from overcoming, reuniting, and being victorious. From the farmer to the doctor, pastor to parishioner, pulpit to pew, pilots to bus drivers, and from President to peasants, we all have impossible things to deal with.
From mountains we can’t climb to bills we can’t pay, from people we can’t pastor to marital disasters, from disgruntled passengers to failing crops, impossible things seem to control almost every moment of our day. Our talk is controlled by it, our walk is directed by it, while our thoughts are confined by it, and we wish to break loose from it. How do we overcome it? Christ.
That is right. Luke recorded how to make the impossible possible is simply the difference of adding God to your day. Jesus told of the impossible conditions of a rich man trying to enter the Kingdom of God. What is impossible with men is possible with God.
So how do you whip this “thing”, this impossible thing you are facing in your life? God. That’s right. Turn it over to God and let Him help you with the things you thought impossible.
Our prayer for you this week: May you come to the realization to change the things that are holding you up, you need to get God involved in everything.
