Loaded but not Burdened
Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
How is it we can’t grasp the true thought and intent of what God has for us? Every morning we are greeted with opportunity, choices yet unmade. Yet when things do not go as planned, immediately God is blamed. The questions and statements always seem to be the same. Why did God allow this to happen to me? What did I do to deserve this? If God loved me, I would not be going through this. Do you think God let them in Heaven?
How is it we never consider that what we are facing or going through God did not do? Poor choices and bad decisions are accompanied by unfortunate consequences. Since the fall of man, disease, discomfort, and degeneration have been chasing us down, controlling us, overtaking us, and trying to destroy us.
Take a moment today and stop. Consider the coming out of the moon last night and the rising of the sun this morning. Would God give you something so spectacular if all He wanted to do was divert, devastate, and overwhelm your life with horrible situations?
God is not waiting to put you in a penalty box, timeout, or eject you from the game. He is looking to bless you. The wise man said, “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich.” The Psalmist said daily He loads me down with benefits (Psalm 68:19). Did He not tell Abraham in Genesis 22:17, in blessing I will bless thee? Malachi 3:10 says He would open you the windows of Heaven. In Matthew 5:3-11 Jesus preaches how to live the blessed life. Verse 12 starts off, “REJOICE … for great is your reward in heaven.”
God kissed you this morning with the rays of sunshine, giving you the opportunity to change your choices … to go from burdens to blessings.
Our prayer for you this week: May you come to realize you may be loaded, but you are not burdened!
