Marxism & Its Fatal Attraction

In his book, American Marxism, Mark Levin writes: The Left “seeks to empower itself by breaching constitutional firewalls; skirting if not eradicating rules, traditions and customs; adopting Marx’s language of class warfare; and aligning with certain avowedly Marxist groups and ideological causes among other things.” One of the ideological causes and strategies is Critical Race Theory, known as CRT.
Critical Race Theory
CRT is aligned with the Marxist belief that change in society can only come about through disruptive demonstrations and protests. CRT wants to fuel the antagonism between races, especially the antagonism between blacks and whites.
CRT considers racism to be systemic in various laws, customs and practices of whites. Some supporters of CRT will argue that science, mathematics and other disciplines are based on racial discrimination and are used to oppress people of color.
Proponents of CRT are part of the cancel culture and they adamantly believe that Western traditions and practices, and America and its founders are all racist – and that our history, customs and heroes must all be canceled. They want to pull down statues of famous Americans and tell the world that they were oppressors.
The 1619 Project is a radically revisionist movement that takes a critical view of traditionally revered individuals and events in American history, including the patriots in the American Revolution, the Founding Fathers, along with Abraham Lincoln, and the Union during the Civil War.
Writers who support the 1619 Project make statements such as “If you want to understand the brutality of American capitalism, you have to start on the plantation” and “America holds on to an undemocratic assumption from its founding: that some people deserve more power than others.”
The 1619 Project was launched in August 2019 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first black slaves in the British colony of Virginia. The project challenges the idea that American history began with the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 or with the arrival of the Pilgrims. Rather, American history began with the arrival of Black slaves in 1619. America, allegedly, had a racist beginning.
CRT has been one of the major reasons why so many Americans hate America along with all of Western civilization, which it says, has been oppressing Blacks at an alarming rate. Why do we want to make America great again? Why do we support patriots? According to the CRT people, they were all racist.
Republicans, conservatives and many evangelicals have supported Donald Trump and his “Make America Great Again” campaign. In the minds of those who support CRT, this is wrong, because they say America was never great. To make America great again means to bring back oppression and cruelty to minorities. While many Americans love Donald Trump, the fact that he is white and wealthy fuels the hateful fires of the Trump Derangement Syndrome.
This is one of the reasons why the American military is not meeting its enlistment quotas. Who wants to defend a country that young men and women are taught to believe is evil?
Prof. Ward Churchill and Rev. Jeremiah Wright
In January 2005, Professor Ward Churchill’s essay, “On the Justice of Roosting Chickens,” gained attention in academia. In the work, Churchill argued that the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks by terrorists was a natural and unavoidable consequence of unlawful U.S. foreign policy. Churchill used the phrase “little Eichmanns” to describe the people who were incinerated in the World Trade Center. I wonder how the surviving relatives felt about that phrase?
Rev. Jeremiah Wright, former pastor emeritus of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, was former President Obama’s pastor. Wright was, undoubtedly, anti-America all the way. Wright even called upon his congregation to reject “God bless America” and instead shout “God damn America.” Obama called the remarks “inflammatory rhetoric,” but also said, “I can no more disown Wright than I can disown the black community.”
Professor Edward Blum, who teaches at San Diego State University, suggests that while some Americans may be understandably offended by Wright’s divisive remarks, those remarks are part of a long and storied tradition among African American church leaders.
This is the kind of environment created by malcontents who hold to CRT and want to turn America into a communist utopia which really will be “a living hell.”
Critical Pedagogy
Unfortunately, critical theories have actually invaded the American educational system. Critical pedagogy brings critical theories into the classroom. It bypasses education and cleverly slips attractive political conversations that appeal to children into the classroom.
On a Monday morning, a child brings a stray dog into the classroom. The traditional teacher, who believes school is for teaching subjects that will enable students to be successful citizens, sees that the dog is removed immediately. It is a distraction from the teacher’s main focus: educating students.
The progressive teacher, operating on the principles of critical pedagogy, builds on the students’ interest, then measures and weighs the dog, has the children draw pictures and write about the dog, and eventually calls the humane society.
The progressive teacher asks the children if they have noticed that there are a lot of stray dogs in their neighborhoods, but not in white neighborhoods. They discuss this at length and conclude that, because of white privilege, whites have higher incomes, get better jobs and can take care of their dogs.
Meanwhile, learning how to read, write and count is bypassed. Education, and the knowledge that it produces, is a form of private property that oppressive classes use to maintain their control over society. In this view, education is just a means of granting a degree and allowing someone to fit into the system and reproduce its oppressive structures (Logen Lancing, www.itsnotinschools.com).
Everything done in the classroom, in the courthouse and in the university is done to prove that America is a racist nation, from its founding to the present.
The subjects and disciplines that must be taught and learned are jettisoned in favor of promoting racial conflict. One African American brother asked me a rhetorical question: “Why does a black life matter only when a white man takes it?” He knew the answer. “That would make national news and further the oppressor-oppressed narrative.”
Destroy The Family Through The Kids
I have a friend who married a young lady who has two children from a previous marriage. One of the kids, a 12-year-old female, has been persuaded by the public schools that she is really a boy.
My friend, his wife and one of the children, attend a good, Bible-preaching church on Sundays. The girl, who thinks she is really a boy, refuses – absolutely refuses – to sit in a church service. The parents refuse to let her stay home during church, so she has to be under supervision in the church office.
There is continual bickering and arguing. It is difficult for them to even have a peaceful meal together. The stress is unbelievable. Their home, instead of being a place of security, refuge and joy, has become a battlefield.
We do not put our hope in a man. However, in His infinite wisdom, God has often raised up individuals to faithfully serve the Lord and bring peace to a people or a nation.
Ezekiel 22:30 says that the Lord “sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”
Let us all be prayer warriors in these times of great distress.
