Pastor’s Letter – January 2025

Dear Friends of Like Precious Faith,
In this passage in 2 Corinthians, we are reminded that when we come to Christ, we are made new, and as I think of this New Year, I think of the new start we each receive as an indescribable gift from Christ. When we see the old things pass away and the new things that come upon us, we are reminded of God’s goodness to us and the new understanding of life He gives us in our hearts and minds through His Word and the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
As new creations, we have a better perspective on the things that surround us. When we see the newness of life, we ourselves become renewed. And when we have come to faith in Christ, inside and out, in behavior and thought, we are transformed.
May it be that in this new year that we become refreshed, and our very beings renewed. I remember as a child how important it was to me to see what God was doing when the new day came, when it was a new year, and when it was a new springtime. The change is miraculous!
While it is not yet spring, we have a new year on the calendar. The year 2025 is an opportunity for us to ask God what He has planned for us, what new endeavors we should start and which old things to continue or leave behind.
As we look ahead to what God has in store for us at Southwest Radio Ministries, we reflect on our deep gratitude for His blessings of the last year; the generosity and engagement of our devoted supporters such as you; and the new programming He has laid on our hearts and exciting new opportunities on the horizon. As you know, in 2024 we:
• launched a dynamic new website
• debuted three video podcasts featuring in-house content creators
• produced 20 books as well as the first set of teaching DVDs from our Israel trip
• started filming in the new studio, with unique sets and green-screen capabilities and
• moved closer to completing the podcast-specific studio, bringing it near readiness!
In 2025, we are:
• editing In the Land, the next TV/video series from our 2023 filming in the Holy Land
• working on six new in-house books and several more from our favorite collaborators
• filming two new podcasters for spring launch and
• developing a new Prophecy in the News TV program, a mixture of news and prophecy.
We approach these 2025 opportunities and celebrate the anniversary of 92 years of “meeting the mission” with joyful expectation and gratitude for His great faithfulness.
A new year and renewed vision are truly God’s gifts to us. In Lamentations 3:23, God said His mercies are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness to each of us. His love, His grace, His goodness are new every morning as we serve Him. Hallelujah!
May His love, His newness of life and His joy be seen every day, afresh in each and every one of us as we serve God Almighty and His Son. Thank you for joining us in this new year, celebrating and united as we continue along the paths He has lighted for us and directs us toward.
In Christ’s service,
Kenneth C. Hill, President/Pastor
